Here are some basic questions of character and conflict of interest related to the subject of the eventual impeachment of Donald Trump, or the vote of the Electoral College on December 19, 2016.
1. Can a presumptive president-elect engage in impeachable acts prior to assuming office?
2. Can he or she be impeached after assuming office for such acts?
3. If a presumptive president-elect is violating his or her oath of office to uphold the Constitution of the United States, including specifically the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, when the Electoral College votes to choose the President, does that fact constitute grounds for Electors pledged to the the presumptive president-elect to vote for a different candidate?
